Overview
Here in Grade 4B, our goal is to provide all students with a rich and supportive learning environment in which they can learn and grow to be caring, responsible, and articulate individuals who are also spiritually attached to their religion. The Grade 4 program is fairly intense and rigorous with a balance of individual work, group assignments, presentations, projects, and other hands-on learning opportunities. Together, we look forward to learning new things, trying out new ideas, and celebrating our individual and collective successes!

AGENDAS
Students have agendas in which to organize and plan their time effectively, as well as to record all homework, assignments, tests, and other important reminders. Agendas go home each day and are an excellent means of communication. Please check and sign your child’s agenda on a daily basis.

BINDERS
Students use binders with subject dividers as a more effective means to organize and maintain all of their notes, handouts, and class work in one place. Binders make it easier for students to insert or take out sheets from any point in the binder, as well as allow students to take home work and notes for multiple subjects at one time. When a unit of study is finished, students can remove all the notes and work for that particular unit from the binder and keep them in a safe place at home to create more space in the binder for new units of study.

ASSESSMENT FOLDERS
All tests, quizzes, and other records of assessments are kept together in one place in students' individual assessment folders. These assessment folders are sent home on a regular basis to be reviewed and signed by parents. This will keep parents up-to-date with what students are doing in class and help provide an overview of their progress.

PICK UPS/DROP OFFS
If parents need to pick up their children early or to drop something off during school hours, such as forgotten snacks or lunches, please go to the school office instead of coming directly to the classroom door as this disrupts the class. The office will buzz the class and the student will be sent down to the office accordingly.
