GR. 3-4 BAKE SALE - Thursday April 14, 2016
On Thursday April 14, 2016 the Grades 3 and 4 classes will be hosting a Bake Sale for the rest of the school. Students are kindly requested to bring in a food item to contribute towards the Bake Sale. A letter was sent home with further details and a list of possible items to choose from. Items can be dropped of on Thursday morning in the basement outside the cafeteria. Thank you for your support and cooperation!
GR. 4 AKHLAQ ASSEMBLY - Friday December 04, 2015
Students are preparing to organize their very own Akhlaq Assembly on Friday December 4, 2015. Students will promote caring and self-discipline among their community of learners, centered on the theme of "I Can... Because I CARE." Through creative displays, poetry, and presentations, our class hopes to inspire students to take the initiative to make a positive difference and leave a lasting impact around them.
EID CARNIVAL - Tuesday September 29, 2015
To celebrate the Eid al-Adha holiday, the school will be hosting an Eid Carnival on Tuesday September 29th where the Elementary Student Council will be arranging for jumping castles in the school gym. In addition, each class will also have its own Eid party. Students may wear their Eid clothes to school on that day, although please bear in mind that students will be active throughout the day so any Eid clothes should not present possible safety hazards, especially when using the jumping castles.
HAJJ RE-ENACTMENT - Tuesday September 22, 2015
To commemorate the Hajj (Pilgrimage) season, students will be participating in a Hajj Re-enactment in the school gym where they will get a hands-on experience of this integral pillar of Islam. Students will perform all the necessary rites of the Hajj, from boarding a plane and getting their visas stamped to circumambulating the Ka'bah (Tawaf) and passing between the hills of Safa and Marwa, and will finish with a drink of Zamzam water. On the day of the Hajj Re-Enactment, students are still required to wear their uniforms to school but may bring an extra set of Hajj-inspired clothes to wear during the actual Re-Enactment, such as thawbs or jalabiyas for boys and abayas for girls.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - Tuesday September 08, 2015
The new school year begins on Tuesday September 08, 2015. Elementary students will meet in the gymnasium first thing in the morning for a brief assembly where the school staff will be introduced, after which students will then be directed to their respective classrooms.
